Paul Teal, known for his memorable role in One Tree Hill, passed away at 35 following a courageous battle with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer. The actor died in Raleigh, North Carolina, as confirmed by his representative, while his partner, Emilia Torello, shared an emotional tribute on Instagram, highlighting his strength and resilience during his fight against the disease.

Teal rose to prominence with his portrayal of Josh in One Tree Hill, where his character underwent a journey of self-discovery, initially pursuing Alex (played by Jana Kramer) before coming out as gay. He also starred in notable productions like Dynasty, The Walking Dead: World Beyond, Fear Street Part 2: 1978, and Deep Water.

Teal’s contributions extended to theater, where he captivated audiences with lead roles in Newsies, Sweeney Todd, and Rent. Despite his illness, he completed filming for Starz’s upcoming series The Hunting Wives.

Bethany Joy Lenz, his One Tree Hill co-star, fondly remembered Teal as an exceptional talent and a generous collaborator. Reflecting on their time together during a 2006 theater production of The Notebook, she praised his comfort on stage, humor, and dedication to his craft.
